The Funny Thing...
The funny thing about Consistency is that everyone preaches and talks about it, but very few of us actually have what it takes to be consistent.
Building that habit muscle.
James Clear makes it sound so easy in Atomic Habits, just step one foot in front of the other, and at some point, seemingly miraculously, you'll build that habit, that consistency.

What happens to those of us who can stick with something for three, four months straight and then fall off the proverbial wagon?
I mean, I would count myself as a person who can accomplish a lot when she sets her mind to it, but I struggle with consistency more than anything. Maybe it's because of ADHD or maybe I never learnt how to stick with something long-term. Or maybe I just got bored - it did not have the impact I thought it would have.
Ouch.
Yes, you failed. Yes, the thing you tried did not work out. So what?
Let's get up and start again.
As Alex Hormozi says "When is now a good time to start?" We always think we have the promise of tomorrow, but as recent experiences have taught me, that is not entirely true. Because what kind of tomorrow do you have if you do not remember today or yesterday?
Consistency plays a huge role in dog training as well. Most dogs will actually appreciate you more for showing up each day rather than neglecting them or being unfair.
Happy Training.
