But My Dog...
I think my favorite sentence from everyone is: "But my dog does not react to me the way they do to you."
Yeah, so?
Sometimes, I really want to say that - because, yeah, so?
Do you understand why your dog is looking at me or taking me seriously? It's because I have never not had a structure with them. I do not have the history with your dog that you do.

But I do make it clear that I do not appreciate being disrespected. I don't like being pulled, nor do I tolerate it. When I say I can stay in the same spot for hours and wait for my dog to make a different decision, I mean it.
I do not give in because I feel bad for my dog.
I love each of them to pieces, and I know I would bend over backwards to provide for them. In return, what I ask is not much, just please respect me and my boundaries.
I don't force it. Like I said, I will stand still for hours. Give me hot chocolate and an audiobook, and I am golden.
People complain that their dog pulls them, yet they keep walking. Where is the lesson in that?
I understand that you want to give your dog freedom and happiness. But do you get freedom and happiness while acting selfishly and like a brat? Hopefully, you were taught differently. And just
as you were taught, you can also teach your dog to respect you and your boundaries.
Happy Training.
