Hard-Work
I think it’s funny when people look at my three girls and tell me I must have a lot of work on my hands — especially when their dog is pulling them left and right, and mine are sitting calmly at my feet.
There’s a big age gap between my oldest and youngest — 10.5 years and 1 year — and while my ten-year-old terrier needs a couple of reminders when we're out and about, she can mostly be left to her own choices. My puppy, on the other hand, needs constant conversation and guidance.
I train my dogs every single day. Whether that’s 6 a.m. tug-of-war practice, sheep work, recall, walking politely with me, or anything else that comes up throughout the day — I’m always watching them, making sure they are safe and engaged.

Boarding dogs and board-and-train dogs have an interesting time here. They usually go home both more exhausted and more rested. What do I mean? There’s a lot of structure here. I expect my girls to make good decisions constantly to ensure we all live together harmoniously — and I make no exceptions for visiting dogs.
I love on every single one of them, but mostly, I engage through training and working together, building a strong relationship.
Happy Training.
