I Upgraded My Puppy
I upgraded Emma's crate to finally allow her some comforts, as she seemed to have outgrown her need to constantly chew on something.
But let me back up and explain what I need to see before I give my dogs the freedom of comfortable beds in their crates:
It is a requirement that my dogs do not viciously ruin their beds out of boredom. I like them to seek out beds on their own first before adding one to their crate. This way, I can make sure I pick the right one - the one they have already chosen to sleep on.

For that reason I keep several different-density beds around the home. Since I have been closing the crates during the day, my dogs have been seeking out the dog beds, and each one has their favorite.
Emma has been upgraded for one night, and so far, so good. But I am holding my breath to see if she can actually stop herself from causing mischief.
I currently have this puppy named Abe in my house, and he is still on bare crate floor.
He needs to cool his excitement jets because, at 50% Great Pyrenees, he is one big puppy. Since his family has kids in their lives, we are going to work on manners around excitement.
Excited to get his journey started for Abe and his family, and to see what Emma does next.
Happy Training!
